Principle

To use the chart, : position the crosshair cursor at the point whose thermodynamic properties you wish to get, and click so that they may be displayed on the screen.

If you wish to get a better accuracy, you can either create and edit points, or move a target with the keyboard arrows.

As soon as the red target appears, the mouse click is disabled, and the target can only be moved by the keyboard arrows. To take control again on the cursor, you can either press the "Escape" key or double-click, which creates a point (see below) positionned on the target.

To create a point, position your cursor and click it twice. A message window appears and you are requested to enter the name of the point.

Chart

Narrow line / Bold line:

These items allow you to change the line width of the plot

X-axis/Y-axis:

These items allow the setting up of the maximum, and minimum and units per division of the charts. This feature can be used to zoom in on the desired portion of the graph.

(T,s) / (P,v):

Allows you to select the type of chart to be displayed

Parameters:

Opens a frame which allow you to change the chart parameters (gas selection, pressure and temperature range,...).

&&
View
View Feature:

This feature allows users to turn off (or on) constant pressure, specific volume, enthalpy, or quality lines. It should be used to construct charts customized only with the needed information of the specific user.

&&
Cycle
Cycle manager:

Allows you to access the frame for selecting the active cycle, the ones which are displayed...

Connected Points:

Allows you to to connect existing points by a broken line

Disconnected Points:

If you choose this option, the points will not be connected.

Load a cycle:

You can load an already existing cycle. The window "Loading cycle" will appear.

Save the cycle:

Allows to save the cycle displayed to be saved in a text file which can be loaded using the previous command

Erase the cycle:

Allows to erase the cycle displayed

Edit a cycle:

Once you set the points on a diagram or load a cycle, the cycle point editor can be activated.

In this edition, you can change values and have them automatically be implemented on the diagram.

The first two columns contain the independent variable. By left-clicking on the column title, you can drag it to the desired position rank in the table.

&&
Gas Editor

These items allow you to edit compound ideal gases.

You can define a new gas, select and modify or import an existing one.

&&
Temperature

K / °C:

Allows you to change the temperature unit
